Brief

Create a set of material that celebrates the Nordic music scene, using Nutharc as the main display typeface. Create an album cover, both CD and Vinyl, and promotional material including a combination of different artists and bands in the Nordic region. All of this will be centred around the branding and promotion of a printed Zine that will be released monthly as an outlet for up and coming Nordic musicians.

Background / Considerations

Study bands and artists from the Nordic countries; Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland; and create material that gives them desirability and a unique edge over traditional western music.

Aim it at an English/American audience who may not be aware of the bands’ and artists’ existence, and give them direct access to the music through QR codes and sample CDs/USBs. The audience would be young adults, i.e. 18-30 years of age, that are traditionally open to the idea of new music through visiting music festivals, listening to radio and watching music television.
